With the current COVID-19 situation occurring at an accelerated pace, many countries are taking more precautionary measures to safeguard their people’s safe and health.
Our partners including authorities, certification bodies and local laboratories all over the world are affected inevitably by the local precautionary measures or policies. Some of the countries are practising quarantine policy by having people work from home, or closing of establishments for a period of time.
This means certification bodies and laboratories may be closed due to local policies. As a result, delay or cancellation of physical factory audit and test would mean longer and uncertain lead-time to get or renew the certificate. During this critical situation, many certification authorities have implemented temporary certification rules to ensure that service is provided properly.
Please know that during this difficult time, TÜV SÜD's Global Market Access (GMA) team continues to support you from all over the world in gaining market access to your target country. We are frequently updated with the latest certification rules and status of certification bodies such as INMETRO and SASO, so that we can advise our customers on how they will be impacted during this period. To date, we have information on over 70 countries.
If you would like to be updated with the latest situation about any country of interest, please remain in close contact with your local/ nearest GMA office and we will be happy to assist you.
